The Director Generals of the two notable federal government agencies saddled with the promotion and development of Nigeria’s cultural values and arts met in Abuja

In their bid to explore on collaborative opportunities on job creations and digitalization aimed at the preservation of Africa’s Cultural Heritage and shared projects, the Director-General, Centre for Black Africans Arts and Culture (CBAAC), Hon. Aisha Adamu Augie and some members of the CBAAC team had a scheduled meeting with the Director- General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Mr. Obi Asika on Wednesday, 3rd April, 2024.

The meeting held at the Nigerian Culture House in Abuja had discussions centered around the current landscape of digitalization within the Arts and Cultural sectors; highlighting the importance of leveraging technology to enhance accessibility, engagement, development, employment generation and preservation of Africa’s Cultural Heritage.

Both parties, CBAAC and NCAC acknowledged the transformative potential of digital platforms in reaching wider audiences and fostering creativity, through Cross-sectoral collaborations.

The two organisations looks forward to a fruitful partnership that will contribute significantly to the advancement of the Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy not only in Nigeria but in Africa, at large.

Also at the meeting was Mr Christopher Obi, a seasoned English – Nigerian actor who lends his support to film makers in the area of capacity building.
