Etihad Airways and Nigeria’s largest carrier, Air Peace, have signed an interline agreement that will expand travel options between the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria and several destinations across West and Central Africa.
The partnership will allow Etihad passengers to book a single ticket connecting through Lagos and Accra onto Air Peace’s network, providing seamless access to 20 destinations including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu and Benin City.
Others are, Owerri, Warri, Asaba, Abidjan, Dakar, Banjul, Freetown, Monrovia, Conakry, Bamako, Douala and Libreville.
The agreement also enables Air Peace customers to connect to Abu Dhabi on Etihad’s services once the airline commences its planned daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Lagos, announced as part of its African expansion.
Etihad’s Chief Commercial and Revenue Officer, Arik De, described Nigeria as central to the airline’s long-term growth strategy in Africa, saying the partnership strengthens connectivity by combining Etihad’s global network with Air Peace’s extensive domestic and regional operations.
Air Peace Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, said the collaboration would provide Nigerian and West African travellers with easier access to Abu Dhabi while giving Etihad customers wider access to destinations across the region.
Combined itineraries will become available on both airlines’ booking platforms once the agreement takes effect.
