Nigeria’s tourism story is about to be rewritten. On October 10, 2025, Nene-Uwa Hub Ltd, in partnership with Red Clay Advisory, will host the Tourism Media Roundtable 2025 (TMR 2025) at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This invite-only hybrid forum will bring together policymakers, tourism professionals, media executives, tech innovators, travel influencers, and academic experts to design strategies for tourism visibility and growth.

With the theme “Tourism Meets Technology & Storytelling: A Strategic Media Agenda for Nigeria’s Tourism Growth,” TMR 2025 will position media and digital tools as critical infrastructure for tourism development.

“This roundtable will connect tourism, media, and technology leaders to create actionable strategies that will position Nigeria as a globally competitive tourism destination,” said Nnenna Fakoya-Smith, Convener of TMR 2025.

The one-day event will feature a high-level panel on how technology and storytelling can drive Nigeria’s tourism agenda, followed by breakout sessions where participants will contribute to a working draft of the Tourism Media Playbook, a practical guide for digital transformation in the sector.

A highlight of this year’s program is the Tourism Media Lab, a tech showcase featuring AI, VR/AR, and digital storytelling platforms, designed to demonstrate how emerging tools can enhance destination marketing, tourist engagement, and service delivery.

“Tourism drives real, sustainable change and integrating media and digital tools into our tourism development strategy can help to amplify Nigeria’s cultural assets, drive visitor numbers, and stimulate economic growth,” added Dr Adun Okupe, Principal Advisor at Red Clay.

A communiqué and policy brief with actionable recommendations for government agencies, tourism boards, and industry stakeholders will be published after the event.

The Tourism Media Roundtable is an annual high-level forum convened by Nene-Uwa Hub Ltd to strengthen the role of media, technology, and storytelling in Nigeria’s tourism development.
