Rwanda Convention Bureau (RCB) proudly announces its remarkable milestone of 10 years of operational excellence and participation in the prestigious IMEX Frankfurt trade show.
This year, as we mark our 10th anniversary, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to IMEX for their pivotal support by providing our first stand, at no cost, under the wildcard program.
This allowed Rwanda to test the international market and launch its presence into the world of Global Meetings Industry. Thank you for believing in the Bureau and the destination.
IMEX Frankfurt holds significant importance for RCB as it serves as a premier platform for showcasing Rwanda’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry. Our participation has allowed us to engage with global conference owners, and demonstrate the remarkable offerings of Rwanda’s MICE Industry.
Over the past decade, our presence at IMEX Frankfurt has yielded considerable benefits, including the opportunity to secure and host major events such as Swift Africa, Africa Blood Transfusion Congress, and International Conference on Aids and STIs in Africa.
Throughout the years, RCB has observed notable trends at IMEX Frankfurt, reflecting Rwanda’s growing prominence on the global stage. From our modest 9sqm stand in 2014 to our current expansive 72 m2 presence in 2024, reflecting our local industry’s remarkable growth.
This growth is further evidenced by the development of key infrastructure such as the Kigali Convention Center in 2016, Intare Conference Arena opening its doors in June 2018, and BK Arena in August 2019.
Not forgetting to mention, the presence of renowned international hotel brands including Radisson Blu, Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Serena Hotels, Onomo, One & Only resorts, Wilderness Safaris under their signature brands in Rwanda Magashi, and Bisate, coupled with the ease of accessibility facilitated by several international airlines including Rwanda National carrier, Rwandair, that flies to and from 23 international destinations, underscores Rwanda’s appeal as a premier MICE destination.
