The National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) has organised a one-day pre-certification training programme for operators in the hospitality, tourism and travel sectors.
The event brought together stakeholders and practitioners from across the hospitality, tourism and travel value chain for capacity building and professional preparation ahead of certification.
Participants were exposed to relevant industry knowledge aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, customer service, ethical conduct and compliance with acceptable sector standards.
The programme also highlighted NIHOTOUR’s collaborations and affiliations with relevant local and international bodies, including sector skills certification platforms, the United Nations World Tourism Organization affiliate network and IATA training structures.
The training ended with a renewed call on operators to embrace continuous learning, certification and professionalism as key drivers of growth in Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism industry.
