The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite on Saturday, 23rd March, 2023 visited the NCPC South-South Zonal office situated in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
On arrival at the zonal office, the NCPC helmsman was received by the Federal Commissioner representing South-South on the board of the Commission, Prince Weli Wosu, the Zonal Coordinator Mr. Nkaiso Ndemenang and the entire staff of the zonal office.
The NCPC boss thanked the Federal Commissioner and the staff for the warm reception accorded him during the visit.
He tasked them on keying into the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President, stating that this year is a year of renewed hope and satisfaction for the country.
He promised to look into the challenges facing the zones especially the issue of office accommodation.
He urged them to always put in their best, while assuring them that whatever is due to them would be given to them accordingly.
He further emphasized that it is no longer business as usual in NCPC, but business unusual.
He averred that it is a new dawn in NCPC, and a new beginning.
He intimated them that he is determined to leave a lasting legacy in NCPC and all hands most be on deck to make it a reality.
Earlier, the Federal Commissioner, Prince Weli Wosu welcomed the NCPC boss to the South-South zonal office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
He briefed him on the activities of the zonal office, challenges and collaborations with relevant stakeholders.
He pledged the loyalty of the staff of the zonal office and solicited the assistance of the No 1 Christian Pilgrim officer of the Federation in mitigating the challenges facing the zone which comprises Delta, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa and Edo State
It would be recalled that the NCPC boss assumed office on 5th February, 2024 as the 4th substantive Chief Executive Officer of this peculiar Agency of government.
This is his maiden official visit to the South-South zonal office and the second official visit to any zonal office after visiting South West Zonal office, Lagos shortly on assumption of office about six weeks ago.
NCPC has six zonal offices in the six geo-political zones of the country: South-South zonal office Port Harcourt, South-East zonal office Enugu, North-East Zonal office Yola, Adamawa state, North-West zonal office Kaduna, North Central zonal office Gwagwalada, FCT while South West zonal office is located in Lagos.
