The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has commended the Adamawa pilgrims for their good conduct in the Holy Land during the Jerusalem Pilgrims ceremony organized for the Adamawa and Imo pilgrims.

Represented by the Director of Administration of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, Bishop Adegbite disclosed that Governor Ahmadu Fintiri remains one of the most resourceful pilgrimage-friendly Governors in the North East.

He thanked the Governor for his genuine interest in the spiritual well-being of the people of Adamawa State.

Bishop Adegbite expressed satisfaction with the good conduct of this third batch of pilgrims, mainly from Adamawa State.

He was highly impressed with the decency and decorum demonstrated by these pilgrims from arrival in Jordan throughout their pilgrimage activities in Israel.

The NCPC boss emphasized that the Adamawa pilgrims have remained intact, returning home complete without anyone missing.

His Royal Highness, Alheri Nyako, the Tol Hoba, Head of the Government delegation of Adamawa State contingent, thanked Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for sponsoring the pilgrims to the Holy Land.

He expressed optimism that the Lord would grant the Governor grace to continue piloting the state’s affairs to greater heights.

He also applauded the Chairman of Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Bishop Theophilus Shedrack, and the Executive Secretary, Mr. Geoffrey Garba, for effective coordination.

The Charge D’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Israel, Mr. Ezekiel Ikwe, lauded the excellent conduct of the Adamawa pilgrims, especially regarding abscondment.

Having received no negative reports, he charged them to keep it up, be of good behavior, and be good ambassadors of the gospel. Mr. Ikwe assured that the Nigerian Embassy in Israel would continue strengthening Nigeria-Israel diplomatic ties.
