The organisers of the International Hospitality, Tourism & Eco-Sustainability Forum (IHTEF) have confirmed the Nigeria Army Conference Centre & Suites (NACCAS), Asokoro Abuja, as the official host venue.
The 9th Edition of the International Hospitality Sustainability Summit Africa (IHTEF 9.0) scheduled to hold from May 22–23, 2026.
Building on the momentum of previous editions, the Summit has continued to evolve as one of Africa’s leading hospitality and tourism platforms, convening hospitality leaders, selected governors, policymakers, investors, heads of tourism MDAs and agencies, sustainability professionals, development institutions, hotel operators, and industry stakeholders from across the continent.
According to the organisers, the new venue provides a fitting institutional and conference environment aligned with the scale, strategic outlook, and continental engagement expected at this year’s Summit.
Speaking on the development, the Convener of IHTEF, Chibuikem Diala, noted that preparations for the Summit remain fully on course, with confirmations and participation continuing from stakeholders across Africa and beyond.
“IHTEF has grown into a strategic platform driving conversations around hospitality investment, sustainability, tourism development, workforce transformation, and regional collaboration across Africa. We remain fully committed to delivering a world-class Summit experience,” he stated.
This year’s edition, themed: “Investing in Africa’s Sustainable Hospitality Future” will feature high-level panel sessions, investment dialogues, hospitality exhibitions, masterclasses, strategic networking engagements, skills development sessions, the Bartender Academy Competition sponsored by Nigeria Bottling Company, and the prestigious Green Hall of Fame Dinner.
Expected participants include the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy of Nigeria, Hannatu Musa Musawa; the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of The Gambia, Abdoulie Jobe; selected governors; tourism authorities; hospitality brands; investors; sustainability experts; development stakeholders; and international delegates.
The organisers also disclosed that the Summit will feature strong participation from leading hospitality brands and operators including Radisson Blu, Sheraton Lagos, AATC Onomo Allure, The Envoy, Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort, Radisson Blu Anchorage, Lake Greenfield, Pedestal Hospitality, and Cifaro by Teka, alongside emerging boutique and independent operators across Africa.
IHTEF 9.0 is expected to further strengthen continental conversations around sustainable hospitality growth, tourism investment, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and the future of Africa’s service economy.
