EgyptAir is set to commence daily flight operations from Abuja and Kano in December 2026, expanding its Nigerian network beyond Lagos, where it currently operates daily services.

The development follows a strategic partnership agreement with Abuja-based KiakiaGo Travels aimed at improving access to the airline’s flight services and international destinations.

The agreement was signed on Monday, October 26, 2026, at EgyptAir’s office in Silverbird Galleria, Abuja.

EgyptAir’s Country Manager for Nigeria, Mr. Mahmoud Khaled Ali, and the Managing Director of KiakiaGo Travels, Mr. Abdulaziz Mustapha, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations in the presence of management representatives from both companies.

The introduction of daily flights from Abuja and Kano is expected to provide passengers in northern Nigeria with more convenient access to EgyptAir’s international network without the need to travel to Lagos for connecting flights.

According to the airline, the new services will offer travellers greater flexibility and more frequent connections for business, leisure and onward international journeys.

The development is particularly significant for business travellers, students pursuing educational opportunities abroad, families visiting relatives overseas and traders seeking access to markets across the Middle East and Asia.

Beyond improving connectivity, the additional services from Abuja and Kano could enhance competition and expand travel options for passengers in the northern region, although specific flight schedules and fares are yet to be announced.

Under the partnership, KiakiaGo Travels, an IATA-certified travel agency, will market and sell EgyptAir tickets for flights departing from Lagos, Abuja and Kano to its individual customers, corporate organisations and trade partners.

The agency will also provide comprehensive travel support services, including flight reservations, ticketing, travel advisory, itinerary planning and other related services.

The partnership represents another step towards strengthening EgyptAir’s presence in Nigeria while making international air travel more accessible and convenient for passengers across the country.
