Lagos has welcomed a new jewel in its crown with the official opening of the Iwalewa Art Gallery.

The exotic and captivating gallery is situated at 29 Chris Madueke, Lekki.

The Founder, Iwalewa Art Gallery, Mr. Femi Williams during the opening ceremony said “This contemporary space promises to be a haven for art enthusiasts, artists, and visitors alike”.

“Iwalewa, meaning “Beauty in character” in Yoruba, encapsulates the essence of this gallery. Its sleek design and curated exhibitions showcases the rich tapestry of African art, bridging both traditional and modern aesthetics”, Williams said.

One of the special guests at the event, CEO, Tour2Nigeria, Otunba Fiwajoye of Ilado Akoko, Otunba Michael Balogun said “The gallery’s location in the heart of Lekki, a bustling, upscale district of Lagos, adds to its allure. With the city’s continuous growth as a global arts and culture hotspot, Iwalewa is poised to be a significant landmark in the landscape”.

The opening ceremony was a night of culture, Art, good music, food and Red wine for all guests.

Notable among the guests at the event are lot of Art lovers and legends like Bruce Onobrakpeya, Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, Mrs. Faridah Sagaya, CEO of Angel Style Travels & Tour, Chiamaka Obuekwe, CEO of Social Prefect Tours, among others.
