The Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), Ogun State Chapterheld its strategic stakeholders engagement meeting at the Sweet Sensation Hall, OPIC roundabout, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Wednesday, 5th February, 2025.

In his opening remarks, the Ogun State Chapter Chairman, Hon. Abolaji Kelani, FITPN, welcomed all the distinguished tourism stakeholders in Ogun State that honoured the invitation to the event and shared with them the strategic plans of the Ogun State Chapter of ITPN such as membership development plan; presentation of associations plan for 2025 and how to strengthen Ogun State tourism industry in preparation towards having Ogun State Tourism round table meeting and Induction of new members, amongst others.

Kelani who spoke on behalf of the National President, Chief Abiodun Odusanwo, FITPN and the Vice President, South-West of the institute, Otunba Ayo Olumoko, FITPN, briefed the tourism stakeholders present about the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN).

He noted that the institute is the Premier Awarding and Certification body for Hospitality, Culinary, Creative Industry, Travel, Passenger Transportation and tourism occupations in Nigeria.

Hon. Kelani also used the opportunity to inform the audience that, the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), is also a Higher, vocational and tertiary level professional organization, established to furnish the industry with professional personnel who can provide good quality standard of products and services.

In his goodwill message, the Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Ogun State, Chief Sesan Fagbayi, FITPN, ably represented by a tourism officer, Mr. Mumin Olalekan Olaniyan, appreciated the leadership of the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), Ogun State for organizing the tourism strategic stakeholders engagement meeting for the advancement of the industry in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.

The Chief Executive Officer, First Heritage Culture and Hospitality Limited, Omo’ba Abiola Ogundeko, appreciated the leadership of the Ogun State Chapter of ITPN and encouraged the stakeholders to work together as a formidable and sustainable team to raise the standards of the institute and the industry in Ogun State to an enviable height by constantly meeting, reviewing, identifying, mapping and prioritizing stakeholders interests to determine the best tactics for effective communication while making the best use of available resources.

Some notable key industry operators that are providing high quality services to tourists/visitors in Ogun State, such as hoteliers, tour guides, tour operators, travel agencies, creative industry, hospitality and restaurants were present at the maiden edition of stakeholders engagement meeting of the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), Ogun State Chapter.
