ILA will be all about the future of aerospace from 10 to 14 June 2026. Around 750 exhibitors from 37 countries will be presenting civil and military aviation technology on the ground and in the air.
Highlights will include the German premiere of the Heron TP drone, the AW249 combat helicopter and the Airbus Racer, as well as the DO228 NXT and the A350 aircraft.
ILA showcases the full spectrum of the aerospace industry, from wide-body and research and transport aircraft to drones, helicopters and innovative utility aircraft.
Selected flight demonstrations are integrated into ongoing flight operations at the adjacent BER airport, showcasing technological developments in real-world flight conditions.
A special highlight at this year’s ILA will be flyovers by a German Heron TP (GHTP) operated by the German Armed Forces. The unmanned aerial vehicle was developed for long-range reconnaissance missions with extended loitering times over the operational area.
At ILA 2026, the Bundeswehr’s GHTP will not only be on display on the ground but also in the air: To give visitors to the trade show a firsthand look at the GHTP’s capabilities, the system will fly over the ILA grounds, capturing high-resolution aerial images that will be shown live on the exhibition grounds’ large screens.
The Leonardo AW249 is making its global debut in an air show program. This next-generation combat helicopter is the only combat helicopter in the Western world to have been developed entirely from scratch.
Designed for the combat scenarios of the future, the AW249 combines cutting-edge sensor technology, networked mission control and a design tailored for multi-domain operations.
The Airbus A350 is one of the most efficient long-range widebody aircraft. It was engineered to deliver a step-change in efficiency for long-haul traveI.
With over 70% of its airframe made from advanced materials like composites, combined with advanced aerodynamics and new-generation engines, the A350 achieves a significant reduction in fuel burn and emissions.
Another technological highlight of the flying display is the Airbus Racer, the high-speed helicopter demonstrator from Airbus Helicopters.
The simple and proven aerodynamic formula seeks to achieve the best trade-off between speed, cost-efficiency and mission performance. Racer also targets a fuel consumption reduction of around 25%, compared to current generation helicopters in the same maximum take-off weight category, thanks to aerodynamic optimization and an innovative eco-mode propulsion system.
The Spanish Air Force will also be represented at ILA 2026, showcasing the Eurofighter in both static and flying displays.
In addition, the flight program will feature other aircraft from both military and civil aviation – including the Panavia Tornado, the Airbus A400M transport aircraft, and the EC665 Tiger helicopter—as well as an air parade during the public weekend and a skydiving demonstration.
At the static display, visitors can get up close to some of the most famous and impressive aircraft in international aviation.
One of the most popular exhibits is the Boeing E-3A Sentry AWACS. This aircraft is one of NATO’s most famous airborne early warning and control systems and is widely recognised as one of the world’s most famous reconnaissance aircraft.
With its distinctive rotodome on the fuselage, the E-3A Sentry has provided airspace surveillance, reconnaissance and combat control for the Alliance for decades.
The P-8A Poseidon is also on display in the static display area. This new maritime patrol aircraft from the Bundeswehr performs tasks such as anti-submarine warfare, maritime surveillance and long-range reconnaissance.
Based on the Boeing 737, it combines modern sensor technology with proven commercial aircraft technology, and will play a key role in the future of the Bundeswehr’s maritime air operations.
Making its debut at ILA is the Airbus A320neo in the Lufthansa 100 Years livery. The special livery makes the airline’s anniversary visible even on the tarmac.
The A320neo combines the latest single-aisle technology with a striking appearance and will be on display as a static exhibit by Lufthansa at ILA 2026. The aircraft will be on site exclusively during the trade visitor days from Wednesday through Friday, June 10–12.
The Emirates A380 is bringing international long-haul aviation to the ILA apron. This impressive passenger aircraft is one of the most notable in the world.
With its two passenger decks, four engines and distinctive livery, it is set to be a major highlight of the static display at ILA Berlin 2026, where it will be on site every day of the show.
The Airbus Beluga will also be on static display during the public weekend. With its distinctive shape, it is one of the most recognizable special-purpose transport aircraft in aviation.
It is primarily used to transport large aircraft components, offering a first-hand glimpse into industrial logistics in the aviation industry.
The DLR’s A310 ZeroG (12–14 June at the ILA) represents research and space travel, among other things. This research aircraft from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) enables parabolic flights under weightless conditions.
These flight manoeuvres allow science and industry to conduct experiments in space conditions without leaving Earth’s atmosphere.
The Do228 NXT, a new multi-purpose aircraft from Oberpfaffenhofen, will also be making its debut in Berlin.
Following the successful maiden flight of the demonstrator on May 2, 2026, General Atomics AeroTec Systems will be presenting the latest generation of this proven turboprop for the first time at a trade show.
The Do228 NXT is designed for versatile operations and demanding missions worldwide.
All information is subject to change without notice. In particular, military aircraft may be subject to last-minute recalls due to operational requirements. The schedule for the flying display will be published shortly on the ILA website.
