The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency, Hon. Samson Opeyemi Fatola, is set to kick off his campaign for the House of Representatives on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
The campaign rally, which is expected to attract party leaders, supporters and stakeholders from across the federal constituency, will hold at the PDP Secretariat in Ibadan from 2:00 p.m.
Fatola, a United States-based businessman and philanthropist with strong grassroots interests, is expected to use the campaign launch to present his vision for the constituency and outline his priorities if elected into the House of Representatives.

The candidate said his campaign would focus on practical solutions to challenges confronting residents of Ibadan North-West and South-West, stressing the need for effective representation and accountable governance.
According to him, the campaign is aimed at listening to the concerns of constituents and working with them to achieve measurable development.
He said, “Our campaign is built on an unshakeable commitment to real, measurable progress for every family in Ibadan North-West and South-West.”
Fatola added that his ambition was not simply to occupy a legislative seat but to build a strong partnership with constituents and ensure their concerns received adequate attention.
The campaign launch is also expected to provide an opportunity for PDP leaders and stakeholders to rally support for the candidate as the party intensifies preparations for the general election.
Among those expected at the event are the PDP governorship candidate in Oyo State and former deputy governor, Alhaji Azeem Gbolarumi; the state PDP chairman, Prof. Abdulrahman Akinoso; and other party chieftains.
The September 6 event will formally open Fatola’s campaign activities across the federal constituency, with the candidate expected to embark on further engagements with communities and voters in the weeks ahead.
