The International Peace Festival was followed by “Run for Autism” on the 29th of April, a public community engagement event organised in collaboration with the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties “Alia Centre for Early Intervention”. “Run for Autism” was held on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Month and aligns with EWB’s corporate social responsibility strategy. It was held under the patronage of the Minister of Social Development, His Excellency Osama Bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, and attracted more than 300 visitors, including children, their families, organisers, and sponsors.

In May, EWB hosted the Global Higher Education Exhibition “GHEDEX” from the 4th to the 6th for the first time in the Kingdom.

The exhibition was inaugurated and held under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma.

GHEDEX brought together a number of local and international universities, institutions, and colleges, as well as several training and rehabilitation centres from the higher education sector, and saw more than 5,000 visitors, from Bahraini students to students from the Eastern Provence, Saudi Arabia, and the rest of the GCC countries.
