The African Hospitality and Tourism Education Summit (AHTES) continues to advance its vision to revolutionize hospitality and tourism education across the continent.

A significant milestone was reached recently when AHTES received an invitation from the District Director and General Manager of Radisson Blu Anchorage, Victoria Island, Lagos, Mr. Ahmed Raza, a distinguished leader in the industry.

During the visit, the AHTES team led by the Founder, Mr. Chimezie Mike commended Radisson Blu’s bold step on the introduction of the Radisson Academy Live Edition in Nigeria.

Chimezie said “This forward-thinking initiative prioritizes employee development and sets a new benchmark for professional training within the African hospitality sector. The Radisson Academy is more than a training center—it is a strategic model for nurturing local talent and driving sustainable growth through education and innovation”.

He stated further, “Our core mandate is simple but powerful to promote Hospitality and Tourism Education in Africa”.

“Radisson’s commitment aligns seamlessly with our 2025 theme: Empowering Africa’s Growth Through Hospitality and Tourism Education”, Chimezie said.

Mr. Raza shared inspiring insights into how the Radisson Group continuously invests in African talent, focusing on internal promotion and cultivating leadership from within.

This philosophy embodies the kind of transformation AHTES envisions for the future of the continent.

“At AHTES, we dream of a future where world-renowned institutions such as Swiss Hospitality Schools establish campuses across Africa bringing global standards to African soil and developing African professionals, by Africans, for Africa. This moment marks the beginning of a transformative journey, and we are proud to be in collaboration with Radisson Group. We call on investors, educators, policymakers, and hospitality leaders to join this movement. Let us build and scale a dynamic future for African hospitality and tourism together”, Mike concluded.
