Omidan Mitade Alabi, Convener, Afro-Cultural Conference

The Afro-Cultural Conference, a vibrant gathering that celebrates, embraces, and projects the rich heritage, traditions and Culture of Africa is set to hold at Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta on June 20, 2024.

The Convener of the conference, Omidan Mitade Ibidun Alabi in a release disclosed that the conference theme is: “AFRO-CULTURE: EMBRACING THE TREASURES OF AFRICA HERITAGE” with the slogan “Embracing Our Roots, Shaping the Future”.

She stated further that the conference aims to bring together diverse voices, embrace promote cultural exchange, and explore the potentials of African culture in driving sustainable development and tourism.

“Participants are going to have engage in a thorough sessions, interactive workshops, and dynamic networking opportunities at the conference”, Omidan Alabi said.

Alabi added that the conference seeks to inspire, educate, and empower participants to become ambassadors of African culture and catalysts for positive change.

This annual event aims to celebrate and explore the rich tapestry of Afro-cultural heritage while fostering discussions on how this heritage can influence and shape a dynamic and inclusive future.

Omidan Alabi said her vision,‘‘Journeying through Africa’s rich tapestry, embracing heritage, projecting culture, preserving traditional values, and uniting global communities” brought the forth coming Conference to reality.

The conference aim is to come together, educate, and joyfully honor the rich tapestry of African culture, traditions, and heritage, fostering deeper connections and appreciation among all stakeholders.

The keynote speaker at the epic conference is Professor Siyan Oyesewo while the expected panelists are notable people in the cultural world, among whom are Otunba Ayo Olumoko; Oloye Ashabi Morounranti; Habeen Whyte and Erelu Funmi Rotiba.

Among the dignitaries also expected to grace the event are the Hon. Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, Ogun State, Dr. Oluwasesan Fagbayi and Veteran Film Producer and cultural Ambassador, Alagba Tunde Kelani.
