The second batch of Christian Pilgrims for NCPC delayed Easter Pilgrimage exercise, comprising Imo and Abia State, thrilled the audience at a musical concert performance by the Imo State Government House Choir on October 2, 2025, at Don Bossco the Basilica of Jesus the Adolescent in Nazareth, Israel.
This historic event marked the first-ever musical concert organized by any Nigerian Pilgrim group in Israel.
The musical concert was a collaborative effort between the Imo pilgrims and Tabar Tours Nazareth, a leading ground handler in Israel.
The event featured solo performances by select Nigerian Pilgrims, including a rendition in Hebrew by Vida Tabar. Sir Chukwuma Ekomaru, SAN delivered the Biblical lesson, reading from Psalm 100.
The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, praised the Imo Government House Choir, stating that they are the best in Sub-Saharan Africa.
She thanked them for making the Governor of Imo State proud, saying, “You have written your names in gold in the nation of Israel.” She also commended the Chairman of the Imo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev. Fr. Gilbert Alaribe, for his effective leadership.
