Two tourism enthusiasts from Ekiti State, Peculiar Ekiran and Ogunleye Dolapo will be officially inducted into the prestigious 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria 2024 today.
The induction ceremony will take place at the National Museum in Onikan, Lagos, under the auspices of the notable tourism industry publication, ATQ Magazine on Thursday.
Peculiar Ekiran appointed by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji recently as the Special Assistant for Tourism Development, has shown exceptional dedication to promoting tourism in Ekiti State over the years.
The other outstanding individual to be inducted, Ogunleye Dolapo is a distinguished graduate of the Tourism and Hospitality Study program at Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.

Dolapo currently serves as a valued member of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the state’s tourism sector.

Speaking at the Nigeria Tourism Specialist Course organised for the inductees, Ambassador Ikechi Uko, the Publisher of ATQ Magazine acknowledged the outstanding contributions and achievements of Peculiar Ekiran and Ogunleye Dolapo.
Ikechi commended them for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, which have earned them the recognition as worthy ambassadors of Ekiti State.
Amb. Ikechi Uko also congratulated the Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre for producing two exceptional inductees from Ekiti State.
Ikechi said “This achievement reflects the bureau’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young talents and promoting a vibrant tourism industry in the state”.

The Director General, Bureau of Tourism Development, Ekiti State, Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre disclosed that the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, whose unwavering passion for sustainable tourism has fueled the remarkable progress witnessed in Ekiti State’s tourism sector will be given special recognition at the Induction ceremony.
“Governor Oyebanji leadership and support have played a pivotal role in inspiring young individuals like Peculiar Ekiran and Ogunleye Dolapo to excel in their chosen field”, Ojo Lanre said.
