The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has held a sensitization training for members of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) on the newly launched DATR portal.
The training, which took place at the NCAA Aviation House, Ikeja, Lagos, on the 3rd of December 2025, was hosted by the NCAA’s Directorate of Air Transport Regulation (DATR).
The Director-General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, who was represented by
Mrs. Ajijola Esther.O ,General Manager of Allied Services & Economic Oversight (AS&EO), commended NANTA as a key stakeholder in the aviation industry. According to the DGCA, NANTA’s active engagements with the Authority have contributed to the safety and comfort of Nigeria’s air passengers.
The DGCA stated that the portal is designed to streamline operations, enhance integrity, data accuracy, and provide a secure, cloud-based platform for seamless application, registration, licensing, etc.
The Director of Air Transport Regulation (DATR), Mrs. Olayinka Babaoye, who joined the meeting virtually, reiterated that the initiative is crucial for digitalising stakeholder interactions and simplifying daily regulatory processes.
A key segment of the event was a practical demonstration of the DATR Portal by the Consultant, Perth Partners, who was led by its Project Manager, Mr. Kabiru Sambo.
