Malam Ahmed Mohammed Sule, National President of the Ringo Sport Club – Nigeria

The Ringo Sport Club – Nigeria has put the machinery in motion for the hosting of a World Class of its maiden edition of the Nigerian Para-Military Ringo Sport Tournament (NIPAMRIST) Abuja 2026 scheduled to hold from Thursday, 26th to Saturday 28th November, 2026 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja for officers and men of the Nigerian Para-military establishments.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Committee, Malam Ahmed Mohammed Sule, National President of the Ringo Sport Club – Nigeria and Chairman of the National Inter-Agency Organising Committee (NIAOC) of the Tournament, stated that with the inauguration of the Committee, the journey to NIPAMRIST 2026 has begun and requires hard work, sacrifice and a collective vision to drive the event and achieve the desired success.

Malam Ahmed noted that NIPAMRIST is not only a significant milestone for the Ringo Sport Club – Nigeria, but for the promotion of the landscape of inter-agency relations and national sports development.

He added that the tournament is a strategic vehicle for national cohesion that transcends physical fitness to foster esprit de corps and promote team work, peace and unity among Nigerian para-military establishments.

While expressing his gratitude for the enviable turnout of the Committee Members for the inauguration, he stressed the need for commitment among the participating Agencies in terms of adequate preparation, mass participation and the mobilization of resources needed to host a world class tournament befitting the global standards and features of the Ringo/Ringtennis sport.

He further urged the Committee to explore and aggressively pursue resource mobilization and funding drive to enable the hosting of a successful Ringo Sport Tournament that will produce champions as well as strengthen the fabric of the national security architecture of Nigeria.

He emphasized the importance of adequate preparedness of the players and contingents to the tournament, noting the need for players of the agencies to adequately prepare for the tournament in order to perform well in the competition and emerge victorious to win the various categories of trophies, numerous prizes and medals at stake during the competition.

Mal Ahmed said the tournament is to test the skills, meticulousness and sportsmanship of the personnel who had earlier undergone an intensive training programme in ringo sport game, hoping that they will put to use all that they have learnt and acquired during the training programme for better competitive performance in the tournament.

About 120 players and officials drawn from personnel of 8 paramilitary agencies of the country are expected to participate in the 3-day event that is packed with actions, fun, socialization, networking and the interplay between sports and tourism.

The agencies so far registered for the tournament includes; The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), National Parks Service (NPS), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
