Tara Saunders, ITAC’s Director of Business Development, has been appointed to two Destination International working committees for 2026.
Saunders will join both the Social Impact Committee and the Community Alignment Committee. Destinations International committees are formal working groups made up of tourism and destination-development professionals from across North America and internationally that guide, advise and advance priority areas for the global tourism industry.
The Social Impact Committee leads strategic planning and programmatic initiatives focused on creating welcoming and inclusive environments within the tourism industry. The Community Alignment Committee focuses on community engagement and destination development, helping destination organizations build trusted relationships with the communities they serve.
These appointments reflect ITAC’s growing influence in shaping best practices for destination development and community-centered tourism on the international stage.
