The National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) Abuja Zone has finalised arrangement to hold it’s 2021 Dinner and Awards Night on Wednesday, December 15, 2021

This was disclosed in a release signed by the Vice President, NANTA, Abuja Zone, Ambassador Kayode Adeshola.

The awards night scheduled for Chida Event Centre, Utako will be an avenue to dine and wine with members of the zone, Industry partners and as a way to appreciate some of their loyal customers who despite the travel restrictions patronize their members.

Adeshola stated, “The sudden lockdown and the travel restrictions since year 2020 came as a rude shock to the industry, having negative impact on travel businesses, restricting travel clients to visit their choice destinations. The need to reunite with our customers and partners as a way of coming back stronger in the new year”

He stated further “I have great hopes for the future of the travel and tourism industry in Nigeria. This is the right time for the government to pay more attention to this sector of the economy that has generated over one million jobs in Nigeria, including employment by hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and other passenger services organization such as the transport sector. It is now a verifiable fact that this industry that has been abandoned for so long is now contributing tremendously to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as of the Nigeria Economy as a whole”

“The Nigerian travel industry today is still facing many challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic that is tormenting the globe but the stakeholders keep flying the flag high.The Dinner and Award Night is set to unveils Who-Iis-who” in the Industry who sustained the industry during this challenging period”, Adeshola concluded.

The NANTA Abuja Zone comprises of the following Six States; FCT, Nasarawa, Benue, Kogi, Niger and Plateau.
