Lead Consultant, Tojum Hospitality, Olugbenga Sunday

The renowned tourism scholar and hospitality expert, Prof. Wasiu Babalola will be the lead speaker at the Hotel Managers’ Conference holding July 15 – 16 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

The Lead Consultant, Tojum Hospitality and Convener, Hotel Managers’ Conference,Olugbenga Sunday, disclosed in a release. Sunday stated further that top rated resource personnel are also listed to share their wealth of experience in the travel and tourism sector, especially as it relates to the hospitality industry. Among the speakers confirmed for the event is the President, Women in Hospitality and founder, Calabar Hospitality House (CHH), Limited Mrs Justina Ovat and the former General Manager & Director of Finance, Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort and Country Manager, International Hospitality Institute, Mr. Brian Efa.

“This 3rd edition with the theme: “Hotel Sales, Service & Standard” holding at Rosmohr Gold Hotels in Uyo has attracted participants across the globe. The conference is aimed to ensure continuous tourism development and drive to improve the performance of hotel managers in Nigeria and Africa”, Sunday said.

He stated further,“The purpose to the conference is to bridge the gap between International Hospitality brands and Indigenous brands both in administrative and general operation standards through annual gathering where hotel practitioners in Africa meet with Hospitality experts with global relevance and draw timely knowledge for professional exploits”

The event is endorsed by; The Government of Akwa Ibom State through the Ministry of Culture & Tourism, Institute of Hospitality UK-Nigeria Branch, International Hospitality Institute, Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria, The Associations of Tourism & Hospitality Consultants in Nigeria, Women in Hospitality Nigeria, Hospitality Consultants and Managers Associations of Nigeria. Participants from over 14 states in Nigeria including some Africa Nations; Ghana, Kenya & Uganda have indicated interest to participate in the event, Sunday concluded.
